The Visiting Professors activity aim to increase the capacity of Philippine higher education institutions (HEIs) in supporting the growth and improvement of university-based startup enterprises with a clear social impact. One of the ways to do this is to bring in international experts to provide the Philippine universities with the best practices in entrepreneurship teaching.
These three areas are regarded as important inputs in the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the universities. The Visiting Professors activity provides a meaningful experience for international experts to share their expertise to the Philippine universities.
Visiting Professors was initiated by PhilDev in 2015. Participating professors have come from various universities, including Texas A&M, Cornell, University of Houston, University of Florida, and Penn State University. A total of 26 US professors have visited 19 universities in the Philippines
