PhilDev’s signature annual event, marks a major milestone – – 15 years of service and impact for Filipinos in STEM. What started as a vision by Silicon Valley pioneer Diosdado “Dado” Banatao has become a powerful movement to uplift Filipino STEM students and the next generation of innovators. PhilDev embarks on its next chapter, to ensure Filipinos not only survive, but THRIVE, through education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The THRIVE Gala & Awards will gather our community of influential Fil-Ams, trailblazers in tech, business, academia, and philanthropy, to celebrate both legacy and a future filled with limitless potential of the Filipino. Together, we will honor outstanding individuals and organizations making a difference, and raise critical support to fuel the future of Filipino excellence in STEM. It will be an evening filled with inspiration, energy and community spirit.
Call for Nominations: 2025 PhilDev THRIVE Awards
As PhilDev marks 15 years of empowering Filipinos in STEM, we invite you to nominate outstanding Filipinos who are driving innovation, education, and entrepreneurship.
Award Categories
- Innovation Award – honors a trailblazer whose breakthrough technologies, research, or models tackle real-world challenges at scale.
- Entrepreneurship Award – honors an entrepreneur who has created scalable, mission-driven businesses that generate jobs, catalyze industries, and deliver meaningful impact.
- Education Award – recognizes a changemaker in education who is expanding access, equity, and excellence for generations of learners.
- SPARK Award – uplifts an emerging Filipino leader who demonstrates exceptional promise and early achievement in their chosen field.
These awards honor those who are not just dreaming of a better future—but actively building it.

Awardees will be celebrated at the THRIVE Gala & Awards on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Signia by Hilton, San Jose, CA.
